My Child’s Progress

  • How long does the course take to complete?

The course covers the first year of English study. However, children need to learn at a pace that is right for them. The course can therefore be completed over a shorter or longer period of time, depending on your child’s needs and circumstances.
  • How often should my child do the course?

Users will typically use the course three times a week for half hour sessions. Attention spans vary and your child may be happy to spend more time on the course and will therefore progress more quickly. We suggest you allow some flexibility for days when your child is tired or lacking focus. Many families find it useful to decide specific days and times for your child’s study.
  • How can I see my child’s progress?

As teachkidsenglish.com is designed to be as simple as possible, with the child able to use it without constant supervision, we do not include detailed assessments and evaluations. However, you can easily see where your child has reached in the course in the knowledge that to progress they have to achieve success at all the proceeding lessons.
  • How do I keep my child motivated?

The children are given as many opportunities as needed to complete each activity and lots of support to do so. Success is a great motivator and they are awarded a Gold star and praise and applause after each activity. Gold stars are accumulated throughout the course. At the end of each unit, the children listen to and join in a 'Well done' song and are able to download and print a certificate with their name and the number of gold stars they have won.
